Day 1

Arrival at Zvartnots international airport.

Meeting with guide and driver of our travel agency. Transfer from the airport to the hotel /check-in/.

Yerevan City Tour: Panoramic view of Yerevan, Republic Square, Opera House, Parliament, National Academy of Sciences, Presidential Palace, Lovers Park, etc.

Visit to Yerevan Brandy Company (brandy degustation). Yerevan Brandy Company is the leading enterprise of Armenia for the production of alcoholic beverages. Its main brand name is Ararat. The company currently boasts a large following, particularly in Russia as well as in Ukraine and Belarus.

Free time.

Day 2

Yerevan-Matenadaran-Garni temple-Geghard monastery-Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit to Matenadaran ancient manuscript repositoryone of the largest repositories of ancient manuscripts in the world. Currently this establishment is in possession of 17,000 manuscripts including Armenian ancient and medieval science culture in almost all areas: history, philosophy, law, medicine, mathematics, literature, miniature, etc.
Way to Kotayk region. On the road to Garni visit of Charents Arch for a wonderful view of Biblical Ararat Mountain. Visit to Geghard monastery which is included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Geghard monastery is one of the masterpieces of the 13th century Armenian architecture. Some of the churches of the complex are masterfully hewn in a huge rock. Visit to the pagan temple of Garni - unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. King Trdat the First ordered building the temple in the first century A.D. and dedicated it to the God of Sun.

Watching "lavash" (traditional Armenian  bread) baking and tasting it.

Day 3

Yerevan-Khor Virap monastery-Areni-Noravank monastery-Goris town

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit to Khor Virap monastery where Grigor Lusavorich (St. Gregory the Illuminator) was imprisoned for 13 years for preaching the Christianity. Khor Virap is the most famous pilgrimage site in Armenia. You can enjoy there the best view of Biblical Ararat Mountain. According to the Bible, Noah's Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat after the Great flood. Visit to Areni Wine Factory (Areni wine tasting).This village is famous especially for its wine. Visiting the wine factory of the village you can feel the delicate taste of its wine assortments. Visit to Noravank. Noravank is one of the five major tourist attractions in Armenia. The monastery, perched at1,550m, isdominatedby high mountains featuring exceptional beauty.The monastery is famous for its ideal constructive and sculptural work.

Day 4

Goris town-Tatev monastery-Qarahunge-Yerevan 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit to Tatev monastery (9th c.), one of the largest and the most famous monasteries in Armenia. Possibility to get to Tatev monastery by "Tatev’s wings" ropeway which is the world’s longest ropeway. Guinness Book of World Records officially declared "Tatev’s Wing", which opened on October 23, 2010, the world’s longest ropeway. Visit to"Devil’s Bridge", one of the Armenia's natural marvels on the Vorotan River. Visit to Qarahunge (Armenian Stonehenge), one of the oldest observatories in the world. The age of Qarahunge has been estimated to be 7500 years or older (VI millennium BC).

Return to Yerevan.

Day 5

Yerevan-lake Sevan-Haghartsin monasery-Yerevan 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Lake Sevan - "Blue Pearl" of Armenia is the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the largest fresh water mountainous lakes in the world. Its area - 1400 square km and is located at an altitude of 1900 m above sea level. The lake is of volcanic formation and surrounded by mountain ranges that reach up to 3000 m.  Visit to Sevanavank monastery (9th c.), located on a peninsula. Sevan is famous for its different kinds of fish, in particular for ishkhan, which means "princely fish". Visit to Haghartsin Monastery (10th-13 th c.) hidden in a grove of ancient trees high up in the mountains.

Return to Yerevan.

Day 6

Yerevan-Echmiatsin-Zvartnots temple-Airport

Breakfast at the hotel.

Echmiatsin ("Vatican" of Armenia). Cathedral of Holy Echmiatsin - the main religious and administrative center of Armenian Apostolic Church. It was founded on site of Pagan temple by Gregory the Illuminator in 303 A.D. St. Hripsime monastery was built in 618 A.D. This is impressive and majestic building.  Ruins of Zvartnots ("church of vigil forces" in Armenian). Construction of Zvartnots began in 641-643 years, and was carried out intermittently for twenty years. The initiator of the construction was Catholicos Nerses III, who involved architectures from ancient Armenian city Dvin (both are in UNESCO World Heritage List).
